Lifexplorer gonfalone di Pigafetta 500 https: www.antoniopigafetta500.it ha raggiunto con venti relativamente deboli i rappresentanti della comunità italiana di Mar del Plata in Argentina, una della tante zone ove la comunità italiana è storicamente numericamente dominante e  particolarmente antica. Un solo giorno di intenso lavoro per:

• assolvere le lunghissime pratiche della burocrazia Argentina (prefectura, dogana, salute, polizia) 2 enti con ispezione in barca ed una ventina di formulari!!
• Cercare di riparare un fondamentale problema elettrico che impedisce la ricarica delle batterie dedicate alle  fondamentali  funzioni di elica di prua, salpa ancore, tira cime di prua.
• Intrattenersi per un sinceramente affettuoso evento di benvenuto da parte dei rappresentanti della comunità Italiana, in particolare delle 3 Venezie ed il presidente dello Yacht Club Argentino, con  scambio di bandiere e piccoli doni affidati dalla comunità vicentina e Associazione Pigafetta 500, il tutto ripreso in preparazione di uno speciale di Rai international. Marcello, il presidente della associazione Italiani in Argentina e sino a 10 giorni fa per anni in consiglio comunale di Mar del Plata , è stato con noi tre volte  per 2 cene in poco più di un giorno.

Abbiamo incontrato: il simpatico Marcelo  di  seconda generazione Treviso, Claudia (abruzzese) con i figli che il giorno dopo dovevano fare l’esame di Italiano,  Luigi capo maestro dello Yacht club (piacentino), Nahuel Arta doganiere di seconda generazione (calabrese), la controllora della sanità (napoletana) di terza generazione, nell’ufficio della Prefectura navale (marina) 2 militari donna Galvan di terza (veneti), e Lopez di madre e nonni molisani con foto dello sbarco dei nonni con sua mamma bambina. A pranzo il vicepresidente dello Yacht club in perfetto italiano ci ha mostrato la mamma della moglie (pesarese)  che festeggiava i 90 anni, penso di averne dimenticati almeno altri 5 o 6.  Dopo questa giornata, terminata con una degustazione di vini argentini e grigliata (Parrilla), chiaramente di italiani,   ci siamo sentiti avvolti da un grande calore umano che ci ha pienamente compensato dell’appoggio al progetto “Pigafetta 500”: è incredibile come questo senso di appartenenza è scarso in Italia e forte in queste comunità.

Marcello, presidente della associazione Italiani in Sud America, ci omaggia gentilmente di un sacco di deliziose patate coltivate da suo papà.

Domani mattina speriamo di completare la riparazione e partire per entrare nei “quaranta ruggenti “ del sud America,  gestire il “pampero” vicino alla costa, cercare di evitare le profonde depressioni che si incuneano tra l’Antartide e la cordigliera delle Ande.  Qui a Mar del Plata di notte c’ è già un clima invernale: ma come fanno a fare i bagni!! Dicono che l’estate è in ritardo…

Obiettivo è raggiungere per il giorno di Natale Puerto San Julian,  ove la flotta di Magellano ha svernato con non pochi problemi inclusi un ammutinamento. Qui arriveremo per Natale e siamo attesi dal comune e dalla chiesa locale.

Lifexplorer banner of Pigafetta 500 https: www.antoniopigafetta500.it has reached with relatively weak winds representatives of the Italian community of Mar del Plata in Argentina, one of the many areas where the Italian community is historically numerically dominant and particularly ancient, in a single day of intense work for:
• absolve the very long practices of the Argentina bureaucracy (prefectura, customs, health, police) 2 bodies with boat inspection and about twenty forms !!
• Try to repair a fundamental electrical problem that prevents the recharge of the batteries dedicated to the basic functions of bow thruster, windlass, pull bow tips.
• Attend to a sincere affectionate welcome event by the representatives of the Italian community, in particular the 3 Venezie and the president of the Argentine Yacht Club, with exchange of flags and small gifts entrusted by the Vicenza community and Associazione Pigafetta 500, all taken up in preparation of a Rai international special. Marcello, the president of the Italian association in Argentina and up to 10 days ago for years in the municipal council of Mar del Plata, has been with us three times for 2 dinners in just over a day.
We met: the sympathetic second-generation Marcelo Treviso, Claudia Abruzzese with the children who were to take the Italian exam the next day, Luigi chief master of the Piacenza club Yacht Club, Nahuel Arta second generation Calabrese customs officer, the Neapolitan health inspector third generation, in the office of the Naval Prefectura (naval) 2 female soldiers Galvan of third Venetian, and Lopez of mother and grandparents Molisana with photos of the landing of the grandparents with his mother child. At lunch the vice-president of the Yacht Club in perfect Italian showed us his wife’s mother original from Pesaro who was celebrating 90 years, I think I forgot at least another 5 or 6. After this day, ended with a tasting of Argentine and grilled wines (Parrilla) , clearly of Italians, we felt enveloped by a great human warmth that fully motivated us to support the “Pigafetta 500” project: it is incredible how this sense of belonging is scarce in Italy and strong in these communities.
Tomorrow morning, we hope to complete the repair and leave to enter the “forty roaring” of South America, manage the “panpero” near the coast, try to avoid the deep depressions that are wedged between Antarctica and the Andes cordillera. Already here in Mar del Plata at night there is a winter climate: but how do they go swimming !! They say that summer is late.
The goal is to reach Puerto San Julian for Christmas day, where the Magellan fleet has wintered with many problems including mutiny. Here we will arrive for Christmas and we are expected by the municipality and the local church.
